how to disable keyboard scancode ?

hardware malfunctions and sends spurious scancodes which input ghost-keypresses everywhere

in my case this was the PAGEDOWN key.

It is really unhelpful if suddenly one has the unforeseen input of PAGEDOWN. However one can mostly live without the key. In particular when using vim keybinding like vimium in the browser
